Bulalo Recipe

When it comes to Filipino soup recipe nothing comes closer to the popularity of bulalo recipe. The reason behind it is the unique taste it has due to continous boiling of the bone in addition with the flavor with the bone marrow soup itself. Filipino love this recipe so much that it become an especiallty menu for different restaurant in different region especially in Tagaytay. Anyway to make this story short here is my method of cooking this ever famous Filipino soup- Bulalo recipe.

Ingredient for Filipino Beef Soup Recipe

  • 1 whole biyas ng baka  (beef Shank or knees with bone marrow), Let the butcher cut it for you.
  • 1/2 kg Beef meat
  • 2 pcs onion
  • Spring onion,
  • salt to taste
  • 2 Beef cubes
  • Potato (optional)
  • Cabbage (optional)
  • 2 pcs Corn cob (optional)
  • 1 tbsp peppercorn
Direction of Cooking:

In a big pressure cooker boil and simmer bias ng baka, beef meat, and salt unti tender. When the meat is tender add water if necessary and boil for another 15 minute, add beef cubes, vetsin and salt to taste.

Optional :

When the meat is tender , add additional water if needed then add potato to tender, add remaining vegetable, beef cubes, vetsin, salt to taste. Served filipino bulalo recipe while it is hot with a spring onion as a topping.
