Wonton Soup Recipe

Siomai or wonton soup recipe is another popular soup for Filipino, while wonton is a well known Chinese dim sum, it become so popular among us Filipino, now a days you could seen a lots of food cart that sells wonton in every corner. While wonton is usually consume with garlic chili sauce, it can be also use as a meat ingredient when preparing soup. Beef wonton soup is a popular menu for one of popular fast food chain in Philippines and it is comparable with beef mami. Here is another recipe that you will surely like, wonton soup recipe.


Wonton Soup Ingredient:

Siomai (wonton)
Pechay Baguio or cabbage (blanch)
Soup
Ground peppercorn

Ingredient for Wonton

1 kg ground pork
250 gram shrimp, chopped
1 pc medium size singkamas (Mexican turnip)
2 pc onion, finely chop
salt and pepper
Vetsin (optional)
Spring onuion, finely chop
1-2 eggs

How to Make Wonton

Mix together all of the ingredient thoroughly, scoop a tbsp of mixture into each wrapper, fold and seal. Mean while, using a steamer bring to boil 2-3 cups of water and upon boiling apply cooking oil on steamer surface to prevent wonton from sticking on steamer. Arrange siomai  in the steamer and cover, let it stand for 25-30 minute or until wonton is done.

Wonton Soup Ingredient:

1 kg pork spare ribs
2-3 tbsp minced garlic
1 whole onion
1/4 tbsp ground peppercorn
Spring onion
2-3 tbsp fish sauce
salt to taste
Spring onion
Carrots, cut into strips

How to Prepare Soup for Wonton

In a casserole, saute garlic, onion, then add spare ribs and fish sauce. Add 6-8 cups of water and bring to boil, simmer for another 30 minute. Add water if needed, add carrots and seasoned with ground peppercorn and salt to taste.

How to Prepare Wonton Soup Recipe :

Prepare soup in a serving bowl, add wonton, spring onion, and blanch vegetable. Wonton soup recipe is best served when the broth is still hot along with hot chilli sauce. Enjoy..
