Bistek Recipe

Bistek recipe or bistek tagalog recipe is our colloquial terminology for english words for beef steak. It is a popular pinoy beef steak recipe and the main differnce between bistek filipino recipe with the beef steak isbistek has a little sauce from soysauce and calamansi juice. I usally prepare this recipe as a school lunch for my kids as they loved it so much. If you liked to prepare and try this delicious bistek recipe, here is my methor preparing this awesome dishes.

Ingredient:

  • 1 kg Beef sirloin, sliced thinly
  • 1 cup soy sauce
  • 7 - 10 pcs calamansi, cut and juiced
  • 3 tbsp cooking oil
  • 2 pcs onion slice
  • 1/2 cup water
  • vetsin
Procedure Of  Cooking for Bistek Tagalog Recipe

  • In a bowl ,marinate slice beef sirloin with soy sauce and calamansi juice, set aside for 1 -2 hour
  • heat cooking oil in a pot, fry marinated sirloin (Dont over cooked beef)
  • After frying, remove some of oil in the pot.
  • Sautee onion and water, add soy sauce with calamansi juice as a broth
  • Lastly add beef and bring to boil and simmer for 5-10 minute. Add vetsin and taste and water if the sauce is salty to achieved desire taste.
Bistek recipe is best served with filipino fried rice.
