Tinolang manok is a popular original filipino chicken recipe, I remember during my early days my father usually butcher native chicken to prepare this chicken recipe which makes it more tastier. Here is how i cook this delicious filipino chicken stew . I consider this as one of the easiest filipino recipes to cook.

Tinola Ingredient :
- 1 kg spring chicken cut into serving pieces
- 2 pcs medium size chayote or small young papaya fruit cut into pcs
- 5 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 pc onion, chop
- 4 tbsp ginger cut into strips
- malungay leaves or dahon ng sili ( Chili leaves)
- 1 pc chili ( pangsigang)
- Vetsin and chicken seasoning cubes or powder
- 2 tbsp cooking oil
- Fish sauce or patis
- 1 litre water for broth
- In a casserole saute garlic, follow by ginger and onion
- Add chicken and 3 tbsp of fish sauce or patis and cover to boil
- Let it simmer for 10 - 15 minute
- Add water and cover to boil 20 - 25 minute or until chicken is cook and tender
- Add siling pang sigang (chili) salt and chicken seasoning cubes to taste
- Add chili or malungay leaves then turn off the heat
- Served tinolang manok recipe while the broth still hot with white rice and patis with calamansi.
