Chicken and Pork Adobo

Chicken and pork adobo is another variation of filipino recipes adobo. This recipe is truly popular  with the filipino for the simple reason that it is easy to prepare, not really expensive, availability of ingredient on local market, and of course because of the taste. Any kind of meat can be used for preparing adobo, it could be fish (tilapia), chicken, pork or combination of chicken and pork, vegetable (sitaw, kangkong) or even chicken feet. But now, we were ging to prepare this flavourful filipino pork and chicken recipe- Chicken pork and adobo.

Adobo Ingredients:

  • 1/2 kg liempo, washed and cut into serving pcs
  • 1/2 kg chicken, washed and cut into pcs
  • 1 head of garlic, minced
  • 1 cup of soy sauce
  • 1/2 cup of vinegar
  • 1/2 tbsp of ground peppercorn
  • Vetsin
  • laurel leaves
  • 2 cup of water
  • Vetsin
  • salt to taste

Direction for Cooking:

In a casserole, put the liempo meat and 2 cups of water, bring to boil and simmer until the meat is tender.Pour in additional water if needed, when the meat is tender add chicken, garlic, vinegar, soysauce, ground peppercorn. bring to boil and simmer for 20 minute until the chicken is well done. Add 1/2 cup of water and laurel leaves if needed and let the adobo sauce almost dries. Lastly add vetsin and salt to taste. Served chicken  and pork adobo while it is hot along with hot steamy rice.

Chicken Adobo Recipe

Chicken adobo recipe  is one of the most popular filipino dishes. Adobo can be cook by using pork, beef, fish and chicken. Adobong manok is a chicken stew marinated by soy sauce and vinegar flavor by fillipino spices. Adobo can be also mix with pork but with this recipe we will just focus on filipino chicken adobo recipe.Here is my recipe of the famous filipino food,delicious adobo.


 Ingredients:
  • 1 kg
  • Chicken1 tbsp crashed pepper
  • 3 / 4  cup of toyo ( Soy sauce)
  • 1/4 cup of Vinegar
  • Laurel leaves
  • Vetsin or chicken seasoning

How to Cook Adobo Recipe:

Mix all of the ingredient on the casserole, let it boil and simmer for 20 - 30 minute until the chicken tender and the sauce started to dry..

Optional : When the sauce of  chicken adobo start to dry, just add 2 tbsp of cooking oil to fry. Served this delicious Filipino food with newly cooked white rice.

Note : It is not necessary to dry completely the sauce, it is up on your preference.
