When it comes to seafoods, one of my favorite is squid or pusit. I really like grilling pusit or just frying it. But for my kids they always prefer adobong pusit or adobong pusit recipe because it has a sauce unlike with grill or fry squid which is dry. For some, they just use squid but with my method i add pork to add some flavor. Here is my method fo preparing this delicious filipino recipes- adobong pusit recipe.
Ingredient for adobong pusit
In a casserole boil pork cubes to tender,simmer and set aside. In a pot with cooking oil, sautee garlic, onion, and tomato. Put the pork meat and patis sauce, cover and simmer for 5 - 10 minute while constantly stirring. Add squid and simmer for another 5 minute. Add pork stock, vinegar, soy sauce, ground pepper. Bring to boil and simmer for another 10 minute. Lastly add vetsin, salt and sugar according to your taste.
Served the newly cook adobong pusit recipe hot with hot steamy rice.

- 1 kg pusit (squid), clean and remove ink
- 1/2 kg of pork (liempo or Kasim), washed
- 3 tbsp cooking oil
- 3 tbsp Patis or fermented fish sauce
- 1 tbsp garlic, minced
- 1 pc of onion, sliced
- 2 pcs tomato, sliced
- 1 cup of water (pork stock)
- 1/3 cup Soysauce
- 1/4 cup vinegar
- 2 tbsp sugar or to taste
- salt to taste
- 1/2 tbspground pepper
