Pancit Molo

Pancit Molo, one of the favorite and mouth watering Filipino soup recipe, compare with other pansit recipe that usually cook with rice or miki noodles, Molo is just a dumpling or siomai that being cooked on the broth it self, The recipe is similar with siomai soup as the latter has a lots different vegetable. There are a lots of method for preparing Pancit Molo and I hope that you could try my method.

Ingredient Molo Filling :

1/2 kg Ground pork
1/2 kg minced shrimp
1 cup of finely chop Singkamas (Turnip)
1 Carrot, Chop finely
2 tsp salt
1 tbsp ground pepper
2 egg

Chicken Broth Recipes:

1 breast chicken (Boiled), Flake
1 kg chicken bone (Sold on supermarket)
1/4 kg shrimp, scaled and  finely chop
3 slice of ham
cooking oil
2 liter Chicken broth
Salt
Crush peppercorn
Springonion, finely chop
Patis
3-4 tbsp minced garlic
2 onion, finely chop
Fried garlic (Garnisher)

How to Make Dumplings for Soup:

To make dumplings for soup, mix the filling ingredient thoroughly  and wrap a teaspoon of the mixture using Molo wrapper.

How to Cook Molo Soup :

Bring to boil chicken bone and breast, separate chicken breast from the soup. Let it cool then flake, saute garlic, onion then add flaked chicken meat and patis. Simmer for few minute then add ham, ground peppercorn, shrimp and simmer for 1-2 minute. Add Chicken stock, wrap molo, boil and simmer for anothe 15 minute or until pork is well done, salt to taste then add vetsin (Optional). Served pancit molo with chicken soup while it is hot, sprinkle with springonion and fried garlic.
