Ginisang Talbos ng Sayote (Sauted Chayote Sprout)

Ginisang talbos ng sayote is one of my favorite filipino vegetable recipe during my Baguio days, this menu is not really a popular recipe in Metro Manila but once it is taste everybody will start loving it. The taste is comparable with bulaklak ng kalabasa but sayote sprout is much tastier. I am so glad it is usually offered in hyphermart vegetable area as I don't have to be in Baguio to taste my favorite vegetable recipe.

Ingredient:

1/4 hipon, remove scale ang devein, pound covering to acquire juice from scale
1/4 kg ground pork
2-3 tbsp minced garlic
1 whole medium size onion, slice
1 tomato, slice
1-2 bundle Chayote leaves with sprout, separate leaves and sprout from stalk
patis
vetsin (optional)
1-2 pcs tofu ( cut into cubes)

Procedure for Cooking:

In a pan, saute garlic, onion, and tomato. Add ground pork and cook for several minute or until it colors turn to brown. add tofu, patis , shrimp and shrimp juice ( katas ng hipon) then add sayote leaves and sprout, cover and simmer for few minute. Don't over cook vegetable to remain its chrunchiness. Served ginisang talbos ng sayote while it is hot along with hot steamy rice. Enjoy
