Pork Stew Recipe

While everybody has its own version for cooking pork stew, Filipino has its own way for preparing delectable pork stew recipe. My recipe is so simple but once you tasted , I am sure that you will crave for more. Here's how I cook my family favorite pork recipe.


Pork Stew Recipe Ingredient:

1 kg of liempo, cut into cubes
1/2 kg spare ribs
1-2 carrots, cut into cubes
1-2 potato, quartered
1 cup coconut cream (kakang gata)
3-4 pcs tomato, ripe
2-3 tbsp garlic
1-2 pc onion, minced
1 small can of vienna sausage, slice
1 cup of grated cheddar cheese
1 monosodium glutamate (vetsin) optional
1/4 tbsp ground peppercorn
Cooking oil
Patis
1 red bell pepper
Salt to taste

Filipino Pork Stew Recipe Procedure for Cooking:

Wash pork liempo and spare ribs, drain using a strainer and bring to boil using 4 cups of water to tenderize, set aside meat and keep p[ork stock for future use. In a separate pan, saute garlic, onion, and tomato. Add liempo and pork cubes and season with fish sauce, cover and simmer for 15-20 minute. Add pork stock, potato, carrots and simmer until it tender. Add coconut cream, vienna sausage and grated cheese. Cook until the sauce decrease half by volume. Salt to taste, red bell pepper, vetsin, (optional), add reno liver spread to thickened sauce. Served this delicious Filipino pork stew recipe while it is hot along with hot steamy rice.
