Ampalaya with Tausi

Ampalaya is a popular vegetable in Philippines, it is always available anywhere in the country. Ampalaya with tausi is simple vegetable dish that become a part for monthly recipe fo simple filipino family, It easy to prepare and cost effective and usually cook along with fried fish as a compliments.

Ampalaya with Tausi Ingredient

1-2 ampalaya, slice diagonally
250 grams liempo meat (cut into small pcs)
2-3 tbsp minced garlic
1 whole onion, sliced
1 tomato, slice
2-3 tbsp tausi (fermented salted blackbeans)


Ampalaya with Tausi Procedure for Cooking:

Bring to boil liempo meat in a cup of water, let it dry until pork start to secrete its own oil. sautee garlic, onion, tomato on poks oil. Add tausi and simmer for few minute, crushed tausi using laddle then add 2-3 cup of water, bring to boil then add ampalaya and cook until it is done. Salt to taste and vetsin if prefered.
