Aside from tokwa't baboy, Isda on oyster sauce with tokwa recipe is one of favorite tokwa recipes. My husband loves it so much as he always order tis menu everytime our family dine-in on our favorite chinese restaurant. Here is my version for cooking this flavorful tokwa recipe, Tokwa at isda with oyster sauce.
Ingredient for Cooking For Fish and Tokwa Recipe
6 pcs tokwa cut into six cubes each
4-5 tbsp oyster sauce
1/2 kg red snapper or pampano fish, slice
Cooking oil2-3 tbsp garlic, minced
1 whole onion, sliced
1 thumb size ginger, slice into strips
1/2 tbsp ground pepper
1/2 tbsp iodized salt
1 pack aji-ginisa
1 cup cornstarch
2-3 stalk of kintsay
1 small can of button mushroom1 bundle springonion
vetsin
Dissolve 1/2 cup cornstarch on 1/2 cup of water for thickening
Isda at Tokwa Recipe Procedure for Cooking
In a mixing bowl, combine salt and pepper and aji-ginisa, mix thoroughly. Season fish with the mixture, cover with cornstarch and quick fry in a wok with high fire for several minute in each side. Set aside, in a separate pan with cooking oil, sautee garlic, onion, ginger. Add oyster sauce and simmer for 2-3 minute, add 2 cups of water and bring to boil, then include slice tokwa, boil and simmer for few minute. Add thickening mixture (dissolve cornstarch) while slowly mixing to avoid curdling, lastly add kintsay. Arrange fish in a platter then pour sauce to cover the top, garnish with spring onion and served isda at tokwa recipe hot with newly cook rice. Enjoy.....
