Pork Asado Recipe

Here is another Filipino flavorfur pork food  -Pork Asado Recipe.


Ingredients for Pork Asado

·        1 k pork loin
·        1 tbsp. whole peppercorn
·        2 laurel leaves
·        ½ cup brown sugar
·        2 pcs. star anise
·        1 whole garlic, minced
·        1 pc. onion, chopped
·        2-3 tbsp. soy sauce
·        4 tbsp. cooking oil
·        Water
·        Salt to tast
·        Vetsin or Monosodium glutamate


 Recipe Procedure of Cooking

1.   Prick the pork loin with fork.
2.   Heat the fan, add the cooking oil.  Roll the pork on hot oil until it turns light brown.
3.   Add water just enough to cover the pork .  Add peppercorn, laurel leaves, brown
      sugar, star anise, garlic, onion, soy sauce and vetsin.  Let it boil and simmer for an hour or
      until pork loin is tender. 
4.   If the pork is done, lift the pork and place in a serving plate then slice into serving pieces.
5.   Remove solid particle on the sauce by using strainer and pour the sauce over the slice of pork.
6.   Served this Filipino pork asado recipe while it is hot along with hot steamy rice.
