Beef Tapa Recipe (Beef Jerky)

Beef tapa recipe, one of the well known filipino beef recipe. It is comparable from beef jerky of Western country. But with jerky they usually used different kind of meat from beef, deer, etc. In the Philippines we have our own style for preparing our cured beef recipe which is not only good for breakfast as tapsilog but for everyday meal. Here how i prepare my homemade beef tapa. and find out how easy it was.

Filipino Beef Tapa Recipe:

  • 1 kg beef tapa, sliced thinly
  • 2 heads of garlic, skin and ground thoroughly by using mortar and pestle or blender.
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • 2 tbsp ground pepper
  • 1 pack of vetsin
  • Cooking oil

Beef Tapa Preparation Procedure

In a deep mixing bowl, mix all of the ingredient (garlic, ground peppercorn, vetsin, salt). Mash the sliced beef with the ingredient to absorve flavour of the marinate. Sun dry for 1 day, transfre to tupperware and refigerate. Fry in a pan with cooking oil until beef color turn brown, turn tapa on the opposite side to fry. Served newly fry beef tapa recipe with fried egg( sunny side up), and sinangag (tapsilog recipe) along with vinegar with salt and sili.
