Batchoy Pork with Rice Noodle Soup

Batchoy  is a well known tagalog soup recipe, everybody loves it from Aparri to Bicol, maybe people from Visayas and Mindanao like this soup recipe too.This menu can be comparable with Tinumis,I think the only difference is the absence of pig blood with Batchoy. This recipe is highly recommendable especially for my kababayan ( Fellow Filipino) who haven't tried this recipe. Anyway, anybody could always try this recipe wherever you are especially if you are interested trying other cultures recipe, here,s how i cook batchoy recipe.




Ingredient for Cooking:
  • ¼ head of garlic, minced                                                                                            
  • 1 pc of onion, sliced into pcs
  • 3 tbsp of ginger, julienne
  • Patis (Fish sauce) 3 tbsp
  • ¾ kg of Pork (kasim)
  • ¼ kg of Pork liver
  • 6 cups of water or pork broth stock
  • Misua (thin rice noodle) 1 pack or 50 grams
  • Pork cubes, vetsin, salt to taste
  • 1 tsp of ground peppercorn

Procedure of Cooking:

  • In a heated pot with oil, sautee garlic, onion, and ginger.
  • Add wash pork, liver and patis.
  • Cover and simmer for 15 minute, while constantly mixing.
  • Add pork stock or water to boil, cover and simmer until the meat is cook and tender.
  • Add pork cubes, ground peppercorn, vetsin and salt to taste.
  • Lastly, add misua noodle and bring it to boil until cook.

Served batchoy recipe while it is hot  in a bowl with steamed rice.....
Serving : 6-8 person
