Suam na isda, a day to day recipe for average filipino, it become so popular due its simplicity for cooking and for affordability, this recipe has a big similarity with with chicken tinola as the procedure for cooking is almost the same while the only major difference is the type of meat that are being use.
Ingredient for Cooking:
1 kg Asuhos (Whiting)
2-3 thumbsize ginger
2-3 tbsp minced garlic
1/2 onion, sliced
2 tbsp cooking oil
1 cup dahon ng sili
2-3 cups of water
salt to taste
vetsin (optional)
Procedure for Cooking:
In a heated pan with cooking oil saute garlic, onion, and ginger. Add water and bring to boil, add asuhos and simmer for 5-15 minute until fish is well done, lastly salt to taste , vetsin (optional) and add dahon ng sili. Served suam and enjoy...
