I didn't know that spare ribs can be also be cook the way tinolang manok are being cook. I just taste a recipe that my uncle cook and I find it so delicious, the recipe is so simple and yet so flavourful.
Beef Spare Ribs Tinola Soup Recipe:
1 kg beef spare ribs
2-3 tbsp minced garlic
1 pc onion, sliced into small pcs
2-3 thumb size ginger, julienne
dahon ng sili
Vetsin (optional)
Malungay leaves or siling labuyo leaves (1 cup)
Beef cube seasoning
2-3 tbsp fish sauce
Salt to taste
Beef Spare Ribs Tinola Style Recipe:
In a big casserole, bring to boil 1 kg of spare ribs into 1 liter of water, until the meat tenderized, remove scum that floats. Remove beef from the broth and keep stock for future use. In a separate pan, sautee garlic, onion, ginger and cooked spare ribs, add patis and cover, simmer for few minutes. Add beef stock and boil, add beef seasoning, vetsin if desired, and salt to taste. Lastly add malungay or sili leaves, boil for 1-2 minute then served beef spare ribs tinola style filipino recipes when the broth is still hot with newly cooked steam rice. Enjoy...
