Sinampalukang manok- a well known filipino chicken recipe soup. This is the only recipe i know that uses tamarind leaf sprout for soup seasoning. To gather much tastier and flavorful soup i prefer to use native chicken as a subtitute to common chicken meat available in local market. Here's how i prefer this delicious filipino soup recipe- Sinampalukang manok.
Ingredient :
In a pot heat oil and sautee garlic, onion and ginger. Add patis and include Chicken let it boil and simmer for 10 minute, cover. Include tamaring leaf sprout and simmer again for 5 minute. Pour 3 -4 cups of water to boil until the chicken is well done. Lastly add siling haba,chicken cubes, vetsin and salt to taste. This sinampalukang manok recipe is best served while the soup is hot with steamy rice.
Ingredient :
- 1 whole native chicken or broiler chicken- dressed and clean (cut into serving pcs)
- 3 tbsp cooking oil
- 3 tbsp garlic, minced
- 1 pc medium size onion,cut
- 50 grams of ginger, cut into strips
- 1/4 kg of Tamarind leaves sprout, shredder ( Use 1 big pack of tamarind powder if spout is not available)
- 3 Tbsp Patis
- 2 Chicken cubes
- Vetsin
- Salt to taste
- Siling haba
