Sweet Cook Pork Tenderloin with Baguio Beans

Sweet cook pork tenderloin with tenderloin is one of my personal favorite vegetable for my kids, it is not really a popular filipino recipe but it is one of my own favorite vegetable recipe. I usually prepare this food as a school lunch for my kids and maybe you also give it a try and hope you will like it.

Ingredient :

1/2 kg of pork tenderloin
2 tbsp soy sauce
2 tbsp sugar
1/8 tbsp of ground peppercorn
vetsin (optional)
1/2 kg Baguio beans (cut into halves)
2-3 tbsp minced garlic
1 pc of onion, sliced
2-3 tbsp cooking oil
1/2 cup water

Procedure for Cooking:

Slice into strip tenderloin, marinate with soy sauce, sugar, ground peppercorn, vetsin over night. Saute garlic, onion, then add marinated pork tenderloin, simmer for few minute then add water to tenderize, wait until water completely evaporated until pork secretes its own oil. Stir fry beans until half cook then add beans on the sauted pork. Cook for several minute then add salt or sugar according to taste. Kinilaw na Labanos

Kinilaw is a Filipino cooking terminology when cooking fresh raw fish using vinegar acidity, but vegetable such as labanos (radish) can be able to use for kilawin recipe, when it comes to vegetable recipe kinilaw na labanos is one of my favorite not for being so affordable but also for being so delicious . If you want to try this awesome filipino vegetable recipe just follow my step by step procedure.

Kinilaw na Labanos Ingredient:

  • 2-3 tbsp minced garlic
  • 1 medium size onion, sliced
  • 1 kg labanos (radish)peeled and cut diagonally and thinly
  • 250 gram liver, cut into small cube
  • 250 gram pork liempo, cut into small cubes
  • 2-3 tbsp patis
  • 1/2 cup vinegar
  • salt to taste
  • 1 tsp ground peppercorn
  • vetsin
  • 1 pc pork cube

Kilawin Labanos Cooking Procedure:

  • In a pot, bring to boil slice liempo meat in 2 cups of water, let the water dry until meat start to render its own fat, remove pork from the pan and sautee garlic, onion. Add pork liver, boiled liempo meat and patis , cover pan to simmer for few minute. Add radish, 1 cup of water, vinegar, pork seasoning cube and bring to boil.  Add water if the broth is too sour, salt to taste, add vetsin, ground peppercorn. Served kilawin na labanos while it is hot with hot steamy rice.

Spinach Recipe

Here how I prepare a nutritious Filipino Recipes, Sauted Spinach Recipes.

Sauted Spinach Recipes Ingredient:

  • 2-3 tbsp minced garlic
  • 1 whole onion, sliced
  • 1 whole tomato, sliced
  • 2-3 tsp cooking oil
  • 250 gram ground pork
  • 2 tbsp patis
  • 1 cup shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 bundle of spinach (1 kg), separate leaves from stalk, include tender stalk
  • 3 pcs tokwa
  • vetsin
  • salt to taste
  • 1 pc pork cube seasoning
Sauted Spinach Recipes Procedure for Cooking

  • In a pan, sautee garlic, onion, and tomato.
  • Add ground pork and patis, cover pan and simmer for 15 minute while stirring meat for time to time to avoid burning.
  • Add tokwa and shrimp, simmer for 1-2 minute
  • Add water and bring to boil amd simmer for 3-5 minute
  • Include spinach and pork cubes, simmer for 1-2 minute
  • Add vetsin and salt to taste
Served sauted spinach while it is hot along with hot steamy rice.

Togue Recipe ( Sauteed Mongo Sprout)

Togue ( mongo sprout ) is a common vegetable available in Philippine local market, we usually include togue for cooking pritong lumpia, okoy, and for guisadong togue recipe.

Guisadong Togue Recipe Ingredient:

1 kg togue (clean)
2 tsp garlic, minced
1 medium size onion, sliced
2-3 pcs tokwa (bean curd)
2-3 tbsp oyster sauce
1 cup of shrimp, deshell and devein
250 gram liempo, cut into small cube
vetsin
salt to taste

Preparation for Guisadong Togue Recipe:

Bring to boil liempo in a cup of water until water dries completely and start rendering its own oil and meat change its color into golden brown. Sautee garlic and onion, shrimp and add oyster sauce and simmer for few minute while continously stirring, add beancurd (tokwa) and 1 cup of water and bring to boil to simmer. Lastly add togue and vetsin, salt to taste and bring to boil and simmer for several minute until togue is done. Served togue recipe and enjoy.

Optional : Adding water is optional, if you prefer you togue recipe to be stir fry, just add togue with vetsin, salt to taste, stir fry until half cook and served crispy togue recipe while it is hot.

Adobong Sitaw Recipe

Adobong sitaw, another variation of famous Filipino recipes adobo, as you could see almost any ingredient could be cook with adobo style, it could be fish, chicken or pork and even seafoods as i already tasted oyster cook in adobo style, anyway here is my recipe for cooking a filipino vegetable recipe known as adobong sitaw which is more healthier, affordable and delicious too.

Adobong Sitaw Recipe Ingredient:

  • 1 bundle of sitaw -string bean ( cut into 1 1/5 inch strips)
  • 2 tbsp garlic, minced
  • 50 gram shrimp, deshell (optional)
  • 1 whole onion, sliced
  • 1 thumbsize ginger, peeled and cut into strips
  • 150 gram ground pork
  • 1/2 cup soysauce
  • 1/4 cup vinegar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • Vetsin
  • salt to taste
  • 1/2 tbsp ground peppercorn


Direction of Cooking for Adobong Sitaw


In a pot, bring to boil ground pork into a cup of water, let it dry until it renders oil, add oil if necessary then sautee garlic, onion and ginger, simmer for few minute. Add sitaw and shrimp and sautee for a minute then add 1/2 cup water, soysauce, and vinegar. Bring to boil, add ground peppercorn and simmer fo 5-8 minute, add vetsin, salt to taste and served adobong sitaw hot along with fried fish as a compliment with hot steamy rice.

Pinakbet Recipe

Pinakbet recipe is a well known recipe in the philippines, it is originally Ilocano recipe that has become popular on entire Philippines, the main reason for pinakbet popularity is for being affordable for common filipino, availability of  ingredient in local lmarket and off course the nutrients it offer. Everybody has their own system for cooking pinakbet and I have my own system for preparing this filipino vegetable recipe too.

Ingredients:

·        1 cup liempo cut into cubes
·        2 tbsp cooking oil
·        1 pc onion, chopped
·        4 cloves garlic, chopped
·        1 pc. tomato, chopped
·        3 tbsp bagoong alamang
·        1 pc. ampalaya (bitter melons) cut into small pieces
·        3 pcs. eggplant cut into small pieces
·        5 pcs. okra cut into small pieces
·        ¼ k squash sliced into bite size pieces
·        1 cup sitaw or string beans
·        1 cup water
·        Salt to taste
·        Vetsin or Monosodium glutamate


Ways of cooking Pinakbet Recipe:

1.   In a fan, boil liempo in a very small amount of water.  Let it simmer until the water is   
      completely drain.  Remove from the fan and set aside.
2.   Add cooking oil in a casserole, sauté garlic, onion and tomato. 
3.   If the tomato is tender, add liempo let the excess oil comes out of the pork then add the      
      bagoong.  Cook until it turns to brown.
4.   Add water, ampalaya, sitaw, squash, eggplant, and okra. 
5.   Add vetsin, taste add salt if needed, then let it simmer until the vegetable is tender.
6.   Do not over cooked  the vegetables. 
7.   Serve newly cooked pinakbet recipe with hot steamy white rice.

Filipino Mongo Vegetable

Here is mongo recipe,another delicious filipino recipes for your family.  Very nutritious, very easy to prepare and at the same time you can save money because the ingredients are not expensive.  I’m sure your family will love this recipe.  It contains proteins which is needed by our body and mineral as well. Here how i cook filipino vegatable recipe- Mongo recipe.

Ingredients for Mongo:



·        1 k pork loin
·        1 tbsp. whole peppercorn
·        2 laurel leaves
·        ½ cup brown sugar
·        2  pc smoked fish (tinapa), shredded
·        2 pcs. star anise
·        1 whole garlic, minced
·        1 pc. onion, chopped
·        2-3 tbsp. soy sauce
·        4 tbsp. cooking oil
·        Water
·        Salt to tast
·        Vetsin or Monosodium glutamate

 

Procedure for mongo recipe

1.   Soak mongo in 3 cups water for 4-5 hours.
2.   In a casserole, put 5 cups of water then add the mongo let it boil and simmer until it is tender. 
      Set aside.
3.   Preheat the fan, add cooking oil. Sautee garlic, onion, and tomato then add bagoong. If   
      bagoong is slightly drying you can now add the pork sautee until it becomes brown.
4.   Add mongo, chicharon and malunggay leaves.  Let it boil and simmer over a low heat   
      until pork is fully cooked. You can add water if needed.  Stir occasionally.
5.   Taste before you season with salt and then add vetsin.
6.   Serve Mongo while it is hot.
